Brief research background and working experiences

1997-present     Lecturer, Department of Internal Combustion Engine, Hanoi University of Technology.
2005-present    Working on utilization of biodiesel (B5), bioethanol (E5 to E20) fuels; fuel additives; emission measurements, emission control, emission models and emission inventories; advanced simulation tools such as AVL-Boost, AVL-Excite, AVL-Fire and Fluent.
2002-2005        Studying and working in the field of road transport emissions, emission measurements and emission models;   advanced simulation tools such as AVL-Boost, Fluent.

Remarkable scientific projects

2014-2015:    Principle investigator of a national research project entitled “Hydrogen rich gas production by catalytic reforming of gasoline to supply to the spark ignition engines aiming higher engine efficiency and emission reduction” coded KC.05.24/11-15
01-12/2012:   Principle investigator of a national research project on improvement of fuel consumption and exhaust emissions for spark ignition engine by providing hydrogen rich gas mixture to the engine
2011-2012:    Principle investigator of a national research project on utilization of gasoline-bioethanol blends in in-used engines and vehicles in Vietnam
2009-2010:    Principle investigator of research project on conversion of diesel engines to LPG/diesel dual fuels
Responsible for a project of exhaust emission reduction (NOx and PM reduction) measures for in-used diesel buses in Hanoi
2007-2009:    Responsible for a branch of a national research project on production and utilization of biodiesel based on cat-fish fat in Vietnam
2008-2009:    Principle investigator of a research project funded by Hanoi’s People Committee on development of a local real world driving cycle for motorcycles for Hanoi
