1 Program’s Objective

The objective of the Aeronautic engineering program is to provide graduates with:

(1) Solid background knowledge in order to well adapt to various works of the Aeronautic engineering field and other fields of the transportation engineering

(2) Professional skills and personal characters needed to be seccessful in their career and their further study at the Engineer, Master and Doctoral levels, both domestic and overseas

(3) Essential social skills to work effectively in the interdisciplinary groups and international environment

(4) Ability to develop products and technical solutions for the Aeronautic Engineering, taking into account of the socio-economic and enviromental factors

(5) Political character, morality, willingness to serve people and health in order to meet high requirements for Motherland construction and protection

2 Standard outputs – Expected results

After completion, Bachelor of the HUST’s aeronautic engineering would have:

  1. Solid background knowledge to adapt to various works in the Aeronautic engineering field. Specifically, they are able to:
    1.1 Apply fundamental knowledge, such as, math and physic in simulation and calculation of the technical systems and products (MI1110…..)
    1.2 Apply fundamental knowledge of the Aeronautic engineering, for example, mechanics, mechanics of machine, mechanical engineering, fluid technical drawing and CAD to study and analyse systems and products the fields of Aeronautic engineering, Machine and Aero-hydraulic automation, Combusion engine, Electronic engineering, Automatic control; Analyse and diagnose some common problems in airplanes (TE3811,…)
    1.3 Apply technical knowledge of the dynamic engineering, mechanical transmission, hydraulic transmission in combination with exploitation and use of advanced methods and tools for design and evaluation of the systematic solutions and technical products in the Aeronautic and Aero-hydraulic Engineering fields (TE4821…)

    2. Essential professional skills and personal characters to be successful in their career. They are able to:

4.2 Recognise problems, develop idias of technical solutions and participate in project formulation (TE2801, …)
4.3 Participate in designing product and technical solutions for Aeronautic and Aero-hydraulic engineering fields (TE3811, …)
4.4 Operate and exploite processes/products/technical solutions in the Aeronaustic engineering field (TE4821, …)

5 Political character, morality, willingness to serve people and health in order to meet high requirements for Motherland construction and protection. The graduates would have:

5.1 A political qualification as specified by MOET (SSH1110, …)
5.2 A certificate of physical and defense-security education as specifed by MOET (PE1010, …)

3 Training time and amount of knowledge for the whole course

– Designed training time: 4 years (8 semesters). According to the training regulations, students are able to shorten training time to 3 semesters or extend to maximum 5 semesters
– Amount of knowledge for the whole course: xxx credits

4 Eligible candidate

– Students who completed from secondary school and passed the national entry exam for group A, conforming to HUST and MOET’s regulations
– Persons who graduated from other universities could apply for the second undergraduate training program under the general regulations of MOET and specific stipulations of HUST.

5 Training Procedures and graduate conditions

Training procedures and graduation conditions are applied under the HUST’s credit-based regulations for undergraduate and junior college training

Note:
1) English requirement: Student could get an English exemption for Pre-TOEIC and TOEIC I iif they get TOEIC score from 250 or higher and 300 or higher, respectively. Before receiving topic for capstone project, student must get 450 TOEIC score
2) The physical and defense education units: There is a separate certificate for these units. These are not in the total amount of the knowledge for professional training and calculation of average score for student. Training time and content are subject to MOET’s general regulations
